About the Courses
Classes run live on Zoom, at fixed times set at the start of the module, with your teacher and the other students all present at once. They are not recorded videos. You speak, you make mistakes, you are corrected on the spot, and you hear your classmates being corrected too, which is half the learning. Groups have a maximum of 8 students, so everyone speaks in every class. Much of the time is spent working in pairs and threes, on activities where each person holds information the other does not, which forces you to use real French rather than repeat set phrases.
The modules on the path come in two formats: Regular, over 7 weeks, and Fast, over 4 weeks. The complementary workshops and the Préparatoire TCF follow a different rhythm, with groups opening throughout the year.
No. The path starts at Éveil, level A1, designed for people who have never studied French in their lives, and climbs through seven steps up to Maîtrise, which completes B2.2. Each module lasts 7 weeks in the regular format and 4 in the fast one, and you take them one at a time, in order. After the path comes the Préparatoire TCF, which takes you to C1 and focuses on the exam rather than the language. If you already know some French you do not have to start from scratch: the free placement test shows exactly which step you join, so that you neither repeat what you already master nor land above your level, which is the mistake that discourages adult learners most.
If you have never studied French, you start straight at Éveil. If you already know some, book the free placement test: from it we point you to the right module, so that you neither repeat what you know nor land above your level.
The path is the ladder of seven levels, from Éveil to Maîtrise, taken one module at a time, in order. The complementary workshops are the seven sessions: conversation, writing, vocabulary and grammar, phonetics and TCF practice. They follow no fixed order and can be taken alongside the path at any time.
It is the exam preparation programme, not a language course. It assumes you already have a solid base in French and concentrates the work where the score is decided: the four skills in the exact format of the exam, timed from day one. What you learn there are techniques: how to read the prompt and identify what the examiners want, how to spread your time across each task, how to structure a written answer that scores against the criteria, and how to sustain Tâche 2 of the speaking test without freezing. Every piece of work comes back with detailed correction against the official criteria. It runs in 4-week cycles, and you take as many as you need. It is not a beginner course.
Our groups are small: between 4 and 8 students. That means personal attention and far more speaking time for each person, because in a small group everyone speaks in every class.
About the TCF
The TCF, Test de Connaissance du Français, is the official French proficiency exam run under the responsibility of France Éducation international, which is linked to the French Ministry of Education. The TCF Canada version is the one accepted in Canadian immigration processes. It assesses four separate skills: listening comprehension, reading comprehension, speaking and writing. Each receives its own score, converted to the Canadian CLB scale, and it is that conversion which feeds into the points of the immigration programmes. There is no pass or fail: the result is the level you reached in each skill. That is why preparation makes a difference, since gaining one level in a single skill can change your whole score.
Yes! Our methodology focuses on the four skills assessed in the TCF: oral comprehension, written comprehension, oral expression and written expression.
It depends on the immigration program. Generally, Express Entry requires CLB 7 (equivalent to B2) to maximize points, but some programs accept lower levels.
Not yet: we are going through accreditation as a test centre with France Éducation international, the body responsible for the TCF. In the meantime, the school platform has simulators for all four sections, in the format and timing of the TCF Canada, so you can practise before the official exam.
Enrollment and Payments
Message us on WhatsApp or book a free level test. If you are starting from zero, a short conversation is enough; if you have studied French before, the test shows the right module. We then send you an enrolment link: you fill in your details and receive the contract and payment instructions by email.
A module on the path, lasting 7 weeks, costs CA$395.00 + 5% GST. The Préparatoire TCF, in 4-week cycles, costs CA$375.00 + 5% GST. If you do not know which module is yours, book the free placement test: from it we point you to the right course and confirm the exact price, with no obligation.

Support and Materials
It is included in the price of the course, at no extra cost. It is the student area inside our site, and you use it through your browser, with nothing to install. It holds the assignments you have to hand in, with the detailed correction your teacher sends back annotated, pointing out what needs to change and why. It also holds hundreds of grammar, vocabulary and syntax exercises corrected on the spot, the simulators for the four TCF skills, with a virtual examiner and a timer for speaking and a word counter for writing, pronunciation practice, the bank of subjects and the map of your recurring mistakes, which gathers what you repeat most in recent work and suggests the right exercise for each difficulty. It is also where the timetables, Zoom links and material for each group live.
Yes. The platform and the exercises work on computer, phone and tablet, through the browser, with nothing to install. Live classes need Zoom, which also runs on a phone, though we recommend a computer to follow along more easily.
For base courses, we use a textbook called Alter Ego + as support, which can be purchased in bookstores or digital version. Additionally, we send all complementary materials for free during classes. Complementary courses and mentoring have their own teaching materials from Voix du Futur, provided on the first day of class.
Classes are not recorded. They are synchronous, held in real-time, which ensures interaction, engagement and personalized monitoring. Our pedagogical approach prioritizes collaborative learning and constant dialogue between teacher and student.
Yes! From day one, the teacher provides a direct contact channel with students. Thus, even outside class hours, it is possible to ask questions and receive guidance quickly and in a personalized way.
